Day-by-Day Itinerary

Depart Nairobi at 06:00 AM heading south along the Nairobi–Namanga highway (approximately 4–5 hours). Arrive at Amboseli and proceed directly to the Ol Tukai area — the park's prime elephant and Kilimanjaro viewpoint zone. Your guide positions the vehicle at the Enkongo Narok swamp where large elephant herds gather in the afternoon. Game drive from 15:30–18:30. Return to budget tented camp for dinner and a photography briefing covering recommended settings, positioning, and animal behavior cues for Day 2. Meals: Lunch and Dinner | Overnight: Budget Tented Camp, Amboseli
Rise at 05:30 AM for the crown jewel of this safari — the dawn game drive. Kilimanjaro is typically clear in the early morning before clouds build, offering a breathtaking backdrop for elephant photography. Your guide positions the vehicle strategically to catch herds crossing the swamp with the mountain behind them. Return to camp for breakfast and a midday rest (midday light is harsh for photography). Depart again at 15:00 for the afternoon predator session, focusing on cheetah, lion, and serval on the open plains. As the sun descends, the light turns golden-orange — perfect for environmental portraits. Optional after-dinner photo review session where the guide looks at selected shots and provides positioning feedback. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner | Overnight: Budget Tented Camp, Amboseli
Final dawn game drive from 05:30–08:30. Visit Lake Amboseli's western edge where flamingos congregate, creating a dramatic pink carpet against the wide open sky. After breakfast and check-out, a stop at the Maasai observation viewpoint for panoramic final shots. Depart park by 10:30 AM. Lunch en route in Kajiado. Arrive Nairobi by 16:00. Meals: Breakfast and Lunch | Overnight: End of tour
